The construction of a WeLink network begins with the establishment of a central Fiber Point of Presence (PoP). This foundational phase is critical as it sets the stage for the entire network. The Fiber PoP acts as the main hub for internet connectivity, from which we extend our services to the surrounding community. This involves a detailed analysis of the area to determine the optimal location for the PoP, ensuring efficient and high-quality internet distribution. This initial step is approached with precision and care, as it plays a significant role in defining the network's reach and capacity.
Creating the Network Framework
Once the Fiber PoP is operational, the next step involves connecting a select group of homes, forming the initial framework of the network. This phase is not just about adding connections; it’s about strategically selecting homes that will serve as infrastructure homes in the network. These initial connections are crucial for testing the network’s performance and reliability. The goal during this phase is to establish a strong and stable foundation upon which we can build and expand. Expanding and Reinforcing the Network
After establishing the framework, the network expansion process begins. This involves integrating more homes, progressively filling in coverage gaps while simultaneously reinforcing the network's strength. We work closely with local residents and authorities to ensure a smooth expansion process, addressing any challenges that arise and making adjustments as needed.
